Commercialism is all I see
Advertising as I'm passing by
Wonder why they waste their time on me
Same story with the TV screen
Trying to sell me something I don't need
Or I could win it at the quiz me show
Is this real life? I'll never know

Buying things is not why we exist
Nothing good can come of this
Who's getting rich?
Who'll have a good time?
We've been getting bought and getting sold
It goes on it's never getting old
Trying to find the lap of luxury
You'll lose sight of your identity
And sometimes I think of what they said
