I forget most everything
It just won't seem to stick
So I try to keep my memories
But they always seem to slip
If I ever made you sad
I might break in half
I fear there's times when we had had
More than we should have
I walked outside and I felt the sun
And at first I wanted more
But it burned my skin and I was done
And I got back indoors
If your love should one day stop
At worst I'd wish you well
But if we did the same to God
He'd send us all to hell
So I can't help but feel
Supposing he were real
He's just as much a mess
As any one of us
And we're not all that rad
But at least we're feelin' bad
