Alone Again
Newton Faulkner
Alone Again,
Lights are on but there's no-one home.
I wont pick up,
Leave a voice message at the tone.
I can't lie for me,
But for you I will try my best.
Guess I'll say I'm nearly there,
But I've not even started yet.
And then I think to myself,
That there's no-one else to blame.
And I don't mind if all the people don't share my point of view,
You may lie just sittin around but it is not what I wanna' do,
And I could say that I'm alright, I got little bits on the side,
It's no excuse it's an explanation it's just my lazy drive.
Oh yeaa-aa-aah
Alone again,
Even now I can hear your voice.
On my back again,
Wanna' stop but I have no choice.
It's my day off,
But I guess I could work all night.
Okay, maybe not,
What the hell it was worth a try.
And I don't mind if all the people don't share my point of view,
You may lie just sittin around but it is not what I wanna' do,
And I could say that I'm alright, I got little bits on the side,
It's no excuse it's an explanation it's just my lazy drive.
Oh yeaa-aa-aah
Alone again,
Lights are on but there's no-one home.
