Alone on the Horizon
A Masterpiece of Failure
The wind against me
Each life that passes by
Gives me another chance to die
There are so many opportunities
To turn off this switch
Give up on everything, close our eyes
And rot away with a kiss to dirt found six feet under
But I push on
And when the negatives build up
I try to erase them, than let the burden drag me down
Sometimes I must let go of things I love
Or befriend some I hate
But life is a struggle and I'm not giving up
Or letting anyone give up on me
I strive to live
I wont let my lungs collapse in a pool of problems
Though I am tied to an anchor crafted by blackened hearts
I can break free
When will I be alone on the horizon?
With no one pursuing me with knives aimed at my back
