Staring out into this empty space

Waiting up for sleep to end the day

I see myself beside a busy highway

I count the headlights passing by

But never seem to catch the driver's eye

Guess no one sees I need a ride

Everyone is going home

And when the tail lights fade

She frightens me with sounds I never find
