Bees Baked A Loaf For Me (Or Flour From Flowers?)
Half-Handed Cloud
As I go for honeyed bread
I wear a net upon my head
To keep the bees outside instead of landing on my face
Their nest is for the bread to bake
A round house coil like a snake
Let's work in harmony to make a loaf of sweetest taste
Down into the deepest flowers, gather powder
Fly back up the petals to the hive
In the flower when they flutter
We will spread our bread with butter
And consider if the flower's keeping us alive
The swarm was dispatched
When i saw the loaf and snatched
All honey on the comb when I'm alone and they stopped watching to see if I liked their meal
I've seen them fill the windowsill
Now let me eat to my delight
The bees have buried to conceal a stinger in the bite
