Good morning. This is Bob Conklin. I’m in Houston, Texas with my dear brothers in Christ, Brian Nelson and Bill Gilchrist. We’ve been meeting together on Friday mornings for years helping – almighty God is helping us grow up in the Lord through studying his word and discussing it together.
This morning, the love of God came through my mind. And I think about the love of God as revealed through his son, Jesus Christ. And we’ve heard that verse and scripture for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him will not perish but have eternal life. And the life of our soul is eternal, and we have a choice where our soul will spend eternity. Our life here on earth is short and eternity is forever.
So, we need to consider making the choice to accept Jesus Christ into our heart. God loved us so much that he gave his son to save our souls to pay the price for our sin, that He could use the blood of Jesus Christ which was pure and accepted as the atonement for your sin, my sin, for Bill’s sin, for Brian’s sin. And the expression of that love, in our respective lives, is how we interact with God’s word, because God speaks to us first person through his word and then whether that word becomes part of our life as we interact with family members, interact in our business activities, interact in church, with whomever we’re dealing with.
The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness, goodness, self control. And for us to have those fruits, we need to be in a personal relationship with God through his son, Jesus Christ. That’s God, our Father. And that word “our,” that pronoun is significant because we are speaking to the Son of God, and each of us are a child of the King, if we’ve accepted Jesus. So, the “our Father” is talking through our high priest, Jesus Christ, sitting at the throne of grace in heaven and God’s right hand. And we’re talking to God through Him. He is our intercessor, our savior, crucified, risen and coming again. Do you know Him? If you’d like to know Him better, go to His word. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with God and the word was God. Jesus Christ, Son of God, what a trinity.
So, I would encourage you to know the joy, peace and hope in this life and have a purpose for where you are and what you’re doing. Get in touch with almighty God through his word that you might have the seed of faith planted in you and growing in you, because faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. And as we have more faith in what God promises to us, we have more reason to communicate to others who desperately need to know about our savior, Jesus Christ.
