i miss her badly, but only when i'm positive she misses me -
you never really know it - yeah, i'll take that chance,
the only chance i'll ever have for true romance -
you've never seen it happen -
just because i haven't doesn't mean it doesn't,
and even if it shouldn't, doesn't mean it won't with her.
i miss her now and then, but now and then i really can't remember when
we ever were in love, and so she says we weren't;
what could make her want to swim against the current?
i miss her less and less and less i guess i'm happier without the stress;
but more and more i want to know how she swam against the current
that pulled me under, kept her above.
