The hand is gone

But the grip remains

The eye is gone

But the gaze remains

The brain is gone

But the idea remains

And when the feet are gone

The path will still remain

The lung is gone

But the breath remains

The heart is gone

But its beat remains

The throat is gone

But the voice remains

And when the mouth is gone

The world will still remain

The nerves are gone

But the signal remains

The veins are gone

But the river remains

The knee is gone

But the joint remains

And when the spine is gone

The junction will remain

The skull is gone

But the house remains

The hips are gone

But the seed remains

The womb is gone

But the vacuum remains

And when the mind is gone

The broadcast will still remain

So thankful receiving it

So thankful retrieving it

So thankful to walk through it

So thankful to breathe it in

I'm so thankful I'm walking
