Cecil was a hard-workin' simple man
He raised six sons and a daughter
One of them became my father
His opinion was he was here to live
Till he was too weak to work any longer
Then he became much stronger
And like a leaf on a tree he would bud in the spring
And then fall to the ground in the autumn
And in death he would leave to this earth reasons for life
