Dreamer, Pretender
Jerry Leger
"Are you looking for a dreamer
Or just s pretender?", she smiled
"Can we start off just living
One day at a time?"
Well, she held out her hand
Said "If you're my kind of man
You won't ask what tomorrow will bring
You're dreaming"
I may be the tough kind
Would never let anyone into my mind
But some stay waiting
To find out how it's all going to end
But the sky is still clear
On a day without cheer
Down in the street I hear her laughing
Dreaming
And we don't know just when
A change is gonna come
So we just keep walking on
Down the road in the wind
Do I feel like a lover
Or some kind of loser in need?
Of a certain type of friend
Who don't agree to disagree
We're different how we react
So we don't fall into a trap
Where we lie in each other's eyes
Dreaming
