Drive
Colton Bigham
Packed my bags and I've headed home.
A year and a half of this freezing cold.
I remember the smiles, I remember the times,
Innocence spent without a care in the world.
But people change and forget their past,
The times and the memories will never last.
So we'll fill this tank with our fears and regrets,
And drive til our mileage counts our tears and treads.
Lets get out of here without a worry or a care,
Lets drive til the sun hits the pavement,
With you by my side, if just for one night,
I'd like to know how it feels to be alive, and just drive.
I know sometimes you cry at night, regretting your past, regretting your life.
Sometimes things don't have to change, sometimes things remain the same,
We say if we could do it all again we'd change our past we'd change our plans.
But I'd choose you over and over, again and again
Let's get out of here, without a worry or a care,
Lets drive til the sun hits the pavement,
With you by my side, if just for one night,
I'd like to know how it feels to be alive, and just drive.
If we died tonight, that'd be just alright
With your arms in mine.
And the world would halt and wait for that one last breathe to take,
And it would be alright.
