Holes In Your Life
Kathryn Williams
One day I'll fit all the pieces together
Then I can put the box back on the shelf
If only my life would fit into the corners
I'd slot back the shapes that make me myself
The holes in your life
Maybe it's the only way the light gets in
One day the days and the nights will have meaning
Then I can get my diary out
While I am writing my beautiful sonnets
The sunlight and moonlight will all scream out
The holes in your life
Maybe it's the only way the light gets in
The holes in your life
Maybe they're the best bits
A mystery to me and a wonder to you
A place for the future for something that's new
One day I'll fit all the pieces together
