Your water moves, it ebbs and flows
it burns like fire in my soul
it shakes in ways I can't control
The love of God is deep and wide
the heart of God - beauty defined
the love of man's a fickle tide
how bittersweet this life
I wish I knew my father well
maybe one day we'll sit a spell
stare deep into that holy well
Your demons are the same as mine.
and in choosing words you take your time
You are a poem that doesn't rhyme
My brother is a lonesome man
on whom the shadows did descend
but I will be your Samaritan
oh I would walk through fire for you
the sky may fall, the earth may quake
the rafters and the walls may shake
but it's the little things which separate
