How could I know at only 16 or so
That my heart could feel so much sorrow
Channeling my tears like rain from nowhere
Feeling the pain that's always out there
Reminding me that life can be so unfair
It should have been better
It could have been better, I know
It would have been better,
But by the time I looked around
my fate was caught and I was tumbeling down
And it will take some time to turn things around
But I will pay my due and hopefully move on
Should I have done things differently
Or am I right where I'm supposed to be
Knowing that my smile is so temporary
