I'll Be Here
An Act Of My Own
She wakes up
She does her hair
She makes up like she doesn't care
But we all know what's
Goin' on with her today
She sees him
She tells him off
His girlfriend tells him to shut up
But she knows why it hurts her
so badly to see him
She goes home
she cries of him
Her mask does not seem to fit
What she is feeling in her heart
She cries out to God above
What happened to her perfect love
When she's left on her knees
Hearing what he says,
"The feelings come,
The feelings go
They may come fast
They may leave slow
But I will always be here
So dry your eyes
Lift up your head
And listen close
To what I've said
Again I'll always be here"
So she sees
Her friend in need
So she decides to repeat
The love and care that was shown to her
She picks her up
And dusts her off
Watch out the road will get real rough
And she just whispers in her ear
