Lake Light
Breathe Owl Breathe
Golden, golden kindness:
stay another day.
My child,
you've got a fever.
Did you see her?
Your great grandmother?
I'm walking in between your steps.
So I know
how deep the snow can get.
Looking back
at our prints
covered up;
so we can move on,
I guess.
Call a doctor! He won't
let anyone in.
He thinks the nurses
are trapeze artists.
He left the window
open, so they can swing in.
Dancing bear, dance with me-
not in the corner.
We're both a ways away,
from where we want to be.
Let the lake light
pour in.
