Lessons Learnt
House vs. Hurricane
i know if i never see the sun again, i'll learn to cast my own light.
looking in, this world has never seemed so dark,
but i still hold the hope i've had from the start.
to cease whats keeping us apart.
(when they come for me, i'll be long gone)
don't you think we outta know by now?
(when they come for me, i'll be long gone)
don't you think we should've learnt by now?
you let me down, you've let yourself down
going back on all the changes you've made,
instills a sence of regret on all the time i spent trying to show you the way.
i won't let you start this all over again.
(the biggest step, the hardest stretch,
to find the peace within ourselves.
because i've tried so many times, just to watch you fall.
the past means nothing now, it makes no sence at all.)
the biggest step, the hardest stretch,
to find the peace within ourselves.
but it's the only option that we have left.
(i wonder if it's better of this way.
me on one side, the world on the other, we can both be free forever.
still i wonder if it's better off that way.)
