Life Is Rhythm
Broadway Calls
I´m not alone.
I´ve got the best friends a guy could ask for this late in his 20´s
who´s been pissing the decade away with wandering eyes.
I´ve got to admit, there´s a fucked up parade in my head
That won´t quit of people I love marching the streets.
They´re murdering drums and they´re keeping the beat.
I don´t know where to jump in line.
Rhythm was never a strong point of mine.
I´m not alone.
On the eve of my best friend´s wedding I quietly get drunk,
and turn 30 in the blink of an eye.
I´m still learning things and breaking some laws.
I still write and sing these songs with their flaws.
So here´s to the groom who´d most likely be dead
If the bride hadn´t shown up and unfucked his head.
I don´t know where to jump in line.
Rhythm was never a strong point of mine.
