The red sun started plunging down into the yellow sea
An apple tree all green and brown sang a lullaby to me
It was like "˜if you look for love don't spread round the sand of your heart
Because it's watching you from above so just wait and play your part.'
So I looked up silently heart-shaped apples were hung down
Then I knew that love stood above me but no one was there to get it down

A little blue bee came to me she said she'd lost her family
I said I was terribly sorry "˜if there's something I can do tell me'
She said "˜your kindness was all I needed' and she turned from blue to green
"˜Just tell me you dearest wish and I will fulfill it'
Then I told her bout the apple tree that I couldn't fly to reach the apples down
So she flew up and unhooked one for me and said "˜your must very angry!'
But before I could say a word she disappeared in a cloud of red smoke
Now with the head full of beautiful dreams I left the Love's nest
The sun hid under a sea of blood and the April moon awoke
I was smiling and pressing my new heart against my chest.
