You've been lost in the clouds
You might burn coming back down
It's not wise to think too far
Ahead of where you are
Because you dream, when you should try
On the work you're given by
Those that know, what's best for you
What they say, you doubt that it's true
I don't want to see what you see
If I'm blind, that's fine
I would prefer it that way

I'm doing just fine with my life
I've managed to get by on my own
And learn of many things I hadn't known
By letting myself just give in
To the worst part of me that slept within
I've no clue of what the future has in store
But I hope that it's not anything like before
