Merry Eskimo
Gift Horse Mouth
I was looking for another place to go but I couldn't see.
I was cold and drunk like a Merry Eskimo, but it wasn't me.
If you open your eyes, the things that I could show when you come for tea.
I could tell you about everybody that I know and we'll get crazy.
I was driving everybody insane in my new car,
I was sending everybody to sleep playing my guitar,
I was the clown, the fool, like a Merry Eskimo, but I went too far,
I was acting I was on top of the world, I was under par.
I was sitting waiting for the bus to come, at the side of the road.
I was drinking gin, and like a Merry Eskimo I was feeling cold.
But a man walked passed with his world in his hands, I didn't feel so old.
I was witnessed by many kicking Terry in the face, but no one told.
I was smoking something, I don't know what it was but it made me high,
I was watching something, I don't know what it was but it made me cry.
I was reading the Bible, I don't know what it was but it made me try.
I was searching for the truth inside my broken soul, but it made me lie.
