New Brighton

Said The Whale
It's where we swam to
When I was younger.
I remember how
You held me under.
I was brand new,
Being underwater.
But I'm stronger now
That I'm a father.
I've got worries now;
Weight on my shoulders
'Bout the future and
How we're getting older.
And it's funny now,
Seeing you around,
Wearing that silly frown.
It doesn't suit you.
And I've been kinda thinking about the simple life,
How I wanna lead it.
I've been kinda thinking about the real world,
If you welcome me to it.
And I... I...
It was a bad idea,
Bringing them here,
'Cause they've got shifty eyes.
All they see is paradise.
But I've got a home here,
What I've worked for,
And it's only there
That I get an answer that I wanna hear.
Not facts and figures about the atmosphere;
How I could affect it.
The battle we fought at Pavilion
Caused us to retreat three-hundred miles
To the safety of our New Brighton,
Where we treat our injured squires.
And with the front lines crossed,
We slowly reveal no secrets at all.
We're just lonely boys with our submarine toys.
