Nobody Knows You

Until June
I stood outside
and watched the traffic lights
People walking by
overcoats with heads that tucked inside
And she turned -
"Nobody knows you like I do,
nobody knows the way your mind can move
Always taking me back"
Across a crowded street,
standing underneath a canopy
Dressed in faded black,
when I looked at her she smiled back
Then she left -
"Nobody loves you like I did,
nobody loves the way your eyes can move
Always taking me back"
Oh and I can't recall when life seemed so dim
Life it seemed so dim
When she left -
"Nobody loves you like I did
Nobody loves the way your eyes can love
Always taking me back"
