Old Baggage

Ben Onono
I will never forget the tale of Jay and Christie White
Summer '92, doing trade on the weekend
The opportunity was there and she was a fine thing
Their eyes met and romance bloomed naturally
Old baggage comes with every new face you meet
Jay was killing time, saving money to travel far east
And Christie's mind was 2.4 and settled down
She had a plan and chased a man
Just going with the flow if it feels right
You never know what fate will blow your way
Things do not add up and one and one make three
Differences once (?) surface rapidly
Old man came on board and started making trouble
Problem shared is a problem double
He spoke of honor and responsibility
He preached of all the things he would be doing in his shoes
The chase had started to spin around and spin round...
Just going with the flow if it feels right
You never know what fate will blow your way
(Old baggage comes with every new face you meet)
Be brave
Ready to fight
And conquering more every day
Be brave
Fire eyes
And you'll find more along the way
Three years on now and Christie's got no regrets
Her little boy is her pride and joy
And what she discovered through all her struggle
Is that good can come from trouble
...whatever
Jay upped one night and has not been seen since
For one time and full moon (had been?)
One day he'll come down from his high and face his own
