Once Upon an Everyday
Peter Sarstedt
Once upon an everyday,
A life will pass away,
Once upon an everyday,
A child will see the light of day,
The world is balanced in between,
No greater meaning can be seen.
Once upon a special day,
I began to see,
That everything returns one day,
To what it used to be.
Yeah: I'll surprise a falling leaf,
By falling with it,
I'll surprise the morning rain,
By raining with it,
Yes I will.
Once upon a childish dream,
I thought I saw the end,
Once upon a memory,
There was no need to pretend,
The world is balanced in between,
No greater meaning can be seen.
