One Thousand Degrees

Colorful Kid
Sick and die
A cough out dry
Somebody left the oven In flames
A night like any other
Pearled eyes, an oyster mind
Cocoon
burrowed
Bridges to the past before our boots were tight
While the light was just close enough to burn our eyes white
They said we should have gave up
then we lied down
And said you gotta get down
they said we're broken and rusted
But then we stood up
And said let's stick around, you've got to get down
Face like folded hands
A mother closed her eyes
caught
the web spun
Another one to build a tomb
But leave me in rags
Drowned in dark to feel no where
There's nothing more real than nothing at all.
I'll take it all with mounds of salt...
Last time I boiled my blood it took one thousand degrees of love, i was a frustrated bug with my sights on the squash.
Then with a shrug, ran my hand cross my face, I was human again...felt refreshingly real and unusually whole.
so we should have gave up
then we lied down
And said you gotta get down
they said we're broken and rusted
But then we stood up
And said let's stick around, you've got to get down to fall through the maze.
