The Narrative
That which was once crossed and intertwined,
has been unraveled, untangled, by the tide.
It pushes us forward, further along
into new and out of old routines.
Well this is what it means to be apart for you and me.
Every day with him I reach within a hundred feet.
These paths run parallel, they never meet.
Well this is what it means not to know you,
not to know me, not to know.
Watching the people, the passersby
makes me nervous and anxious.
I run and I hide as if I am a child,
and this is a game of hide and seek,
can't let you run into me.
Well this is what it means to be apart for you and me.
Every day with him I reach within a hundred feet.
These paths run parallel, they never meet.
Well this is what it means not to know you,
not to know me, not to know.
Not to know.
What are you trying to avoid?
(There is no reason.)
What are you trying to avoid?
(He's got so mean so.)
What are you trying to avoid?
(There is no reason.)
What am I trying to avoid?
Well this is what it means to be apart for you and me.
Every day with him I reach within a hundred feet.
These paths run parallel, they never meet.
Well this is what it means not to know you,
not to know me, not to know.
