Pilot
Amber Rubarth
Hiding out from the world,
Calendar days roll over,
think I'll stay in again tonight.
My heart's finally waking up,
but every day just gets colder,
Always one step, I'm always one step behind.
I'm slowly pouring out into the room and I can't control it,
My head is empty, time is running low, oh, oh.
Fuel's just a leak without a flame to heat it up inside.
I need a spark to ignite, a pilot, oh!
I need a spark to ignite my pilot, light.
Thumbing through photographs,
Paintings and old notepapers,
That I put with the charms I found.
Trying to find myself, or reinvent something greater,
Turning it up, I'm turning it upside down.
I'm slowly pouring out into the room and I can't control it,
My head is empty, time is running low, oh, oh.
Fuel's just a leak without a flame to heat it up inside.
I need a spark to ignite, a pilot, oh!
I need a spark to ignite my pilot,
I tried to find a falling star in the sky, but they don't come when you try.
They never come when you try.
It's all in time, it's all in time.
I'm slowly pouring out into the room and I can't control it,
My head is empty, time is running low, oh, oh.
Fuel's just a leak without a flame to heat it up inside.
I need a spark to ignite, a pilot, oh!
I need a spark to ignite, my pilot, oh!
I need a spark to ignite, my pilot, light.
