Seizure

Just watch him shine
magnified by the light, empty eyes.
Spinelessly smile as a crowd screams and shouts.
The trees are screaming through the ground,
and we're drowning them out.
Lie awake now for hours.
You taste the blame in your mouth
and swallow it down.
(To lay this serenade on the ground)
Don't stain your words with the night's appetite.
Close your eyes while daunting,
absurd creatures sift through dirt.
And they stake out the brain cells of the larger crowd,
where they paint and create clouds of truth.
The trees are screaming through the ground,
and we're drowning them out.
Lie awake now for hours.
You taste the blame in your mouth
and swallow it down.
(To lay this serenade on the ground)
