Sometimes

Wendy McNeill
Sometimes I don't see things
As clearly as I would like to see
I keep moving without a purpose
To shield me from all the blows that aching people throw
And all the tears I never let myself show
Sometimes I walk the line between
Growth and familiarity
Not understanding why I have to choose a side
The funny thing about decisions
Is that as you're making them, you never know
What the next bend in the road might expose
You could find yourself surrounded
By something or somewhere
That fear might have stopped you from going to
If you'd known
That's why sometimes when I don't see things
As clearly as I would like to see
I keep moving, knowing that a purpose will find me
Because there's moments like these
And moments like these are all that really matter
