Beneath these restless waves
A vessel's in its place it lies
We forget and live our lives
A moment in a dream
Forever Child she speaks to me
She's on her favourite ride
She missed one day from school
The bus pulled in the seats are full
And the ship is to arrive
Misjudged the time and speed
Ship hits the bridge catastrophy
And the bus now takes a dive

She draws a tear and paints a picture with them
For she's alone and all her fears are empty desks and long hallways
And everybody says, deal with the pain
Closer to the edge her friends don't seem so far away
Flirting with the pain, needing a new dependency
A move to inner peace, she's making up her mind
She's standing on both feet
But this is not the day for flight
Freedom you suppose, is not over the edge
You have not lost the fight
Because the fight is not over yet
