The Endless Endings
Clem Snide
Her ankles bound and muzzled tongue
[???]
Out dripping oil too jagged to digest
[???]
The ocean in a line of teeth
All foreign-tasting things inside her mouth
The brackish water drowns the fawns
Pinching buds dissolve the dawn
And the endless endings always timed too late
I swear that I am good
I've been misunderstood
The wheelchair pusher pushed too far
The bones were bleached and soaked in tar
By men with feathers sticking to their views
The grinding organ monkeys dance
With shiny coins shoved down their pants
By callused hands from splitting all the wood
And she showed me only with her eyes
And watched me as I crawled inside
I felt the wires hum beneath her skin
I swear that I am good
I've been misunderstood
