The Isle Of Innisfree

Charlie Landsborough
Iâ"š¬â"ž¢ve met some folk that say I am a dreamer
And Iâ"š¬â"ž¢ve no doubt thereâ"š¬â"ž¢s truth in what they say
For sure a bodies bound to be a dreamer
When all the things he loves are far away
Iâ"š¬â"ž¢ve watched the moonlight peek
Across the roof tops
Of this great city
Wondrous though it be
I scarcely feel its wonder or its laughter
Iâ"š¬â"ž¢m once again back home in Innisfree
And precious things
Are dreams unto an exile
They take him all the night the across sea
Especially when it happens
Heâ"š¬â"ž¢s in exile from that dear lovely Isle of Innisfree
I wonder old green hills and sleepy valleys
And find the peaks no other land could hold
I hear the birds make music
Fit for angels and watch the waters
Laughing as they go
But dreams donâ"š¬â"ž¢t last
Though dreams are not forgotten
And soon Iâ"š¬â"ž¢m back to stern reality
And though they pave the footpaths with gold dust
I still would chose my Isle of Innisfree
I still would chose my Isle of Innisfree
