Stephen Brodsky
When I first started working there all I did was the dishes
I had big dreams and they all turned into big wishes
As the food went down the drain, oh it looked real delicious
When I arrived at the otherside
I swallowed pride, only to survive
I learned how to pretend not to care
I saw that the customer was always right there
I couldn't take the heat in the kitchen so I cut my hair
At least I tried at the otherside
But in the end it's another dive.
