Three-Quarter Moon
Jeffrey Lewis
Sitting in my room
Checking out the three-quarter moon
If I look at it with a squint
Swear that I can see the whole thing
Was listening to records but my turntable broke
Started to fix it but it started to smoke
So now it's pretty quiet and the sun is coming up pretty soon
If I start thinking about summertime
I'm gonna go right out of my mind
If I look at it with a squint
Swear I can see the whole thing
The days are all spread out like a deck of cards
The queens are all bent up so you'll know where they are
I'm gambling my life that there's nothing new I'm gonna find
I say hey why should it matter at all?
I put KY jelly on your eyeballs
So you can look right into me and I won't even feel a thing
I found an old drawing I made
It was starting to disintegrate
But if I look at it with a squint
I swear that I can see the whole thing
Every now and then I think it all makes sense
I believe that every meaning has a coincidence
I'd swap a secret with you if I thought you had a good one to share
I'd swap a secret with you if I thought you had a good one to share
I'd swap a secret with you if I thought you had a good one to share
Hey
