Heads were rolling out the door
When I got back from Elsinore
Screen was torn (?), glass on the floor
Clocks were broken, stuck on four
Blood and sweat and signs of war
Locks completely off the door
Your letters didn't say a thing about all that
TV smashed, couch upside down
No one else but me around
Microwave was in the hall
Refrigderator ready to fall
Toilets cracked and smashed to hell
Water leaking from the well
You could of called to tell me what was going on
Whoa, where has everyone gone?
Even though we warned them all
That the roof was bound to fall
No one heard a thing we said
Just pretending to be dead
Went along with our daily lives
Doing jobs and kissing wives
We tried a time or two to tell him to get out
Nothing left of our poor town
Ruins barely holding ground
Picking stoplights everywhere (?)
What man's hands did all of this?
And in all that stupid bliss
And I've gotta find out why
Whoa, where has everyone gone?
She was here when I left town
Now she's gone, gone, gone, gone
Whoa, where has everyone gone?
