Woody Brown River (Demo)

Guillemots
Like forks calling knives across sands of flags
the Woody Brown River keeps calling me back
well she runs like a cheetah and melts fire when she sings
How I longed to be dwarfed by her watery wings
to the Woody Brown River I often would write
and stand at her banks and toss pebbles inside
watch the sky crack a laugh as its sentence is felt? (felled?)
for the Woody Brown River ran deep as a well
The Woody Brown River you're breaking me up
A seashell just landed in my watercup
and you're always there waving from the back of my mind
with desperate hands that claim to be kind
and Woody Brown eyes that render me blind
So as forks beckon knives across sands of flags
the Woody Brown River's breaking my back
when you find the sunset you just crave the sunrise
and i shall never sleep 'til I've slept in her thighs
