You Cured Me
I need to thank you for all you've done, for lending me an ear,
For listening and being a friend- thank you for being here.
I need to thank you for all the time you've given up for me,
For your advice and confidence, and sensitivity.
I need to thank you for the shoulder you let me use to cry,
You've made me feel stronger and wiser, with your words you pacify.
I need to thank you for all the nights you've listened intently,
Whilst gently wiping the tears away and being there for me.
I need to thank you for being a rock when no one else was there,
When I was alone and friends were scarce you proved you really care.
I need to thank you, you made me strong when I was weak and sad,
You picked me up and dusted me down, you're the best friend I've ever had.
