Your Smile
The Features
Jesus and me sat watch TV
Last night in my dreams.
Super Bowl and talk shows,
What does this mean?
Here comes my girl;
She's wearing my shirt.
Peanut has my shoes.
I believe in the bare necessities,
But that's beside the point.
Skinny boppin' to the record set,
I'm too young to forget.
I can't remember anyway.
After all and all the while,
I get up to turn the dial
'Cause I can't stand to see your smile.
Parking lot, ready or not,
The team is on the field.
Picking sides, giving rides
It's not my turn to yield.
So say goodbye to the old regime
They're all so tired if you know what I mean.
With a stick in my eye and a lump in my throat,
I guess I'll try again.
Skinny boppin' to the record set,
I'm too young to forget.
I can't remember anyway.
After all the claims are filed,
Underneath the growing pile,
I can't stand to see your smile.
Maybe I could sing along
To your never-ending song.
I'm just looking for some fun.
