Brains For Blood
Shai Erlichman
I wrote songs before I figured out that songs won't survive
It's a clear collage, a simple law that they will one day die
Now I've heard rock and roll is forever but what ears are left
To employ the tape after the tape and ear are both bereft?
So what if I got brains for blood, and blood for brains?
The fact is that my body is still headed towards the grave
So I smile, pick up all of my guitars and I throw em out
And two stories down I see the clowns turn towards the guitar shout
He says hey you're blood for brains are bleeding and sprints to his car
But his fire hose won't shake these clothes I'm going where there's tar
So what if I got brains for blood, and blood for brains?
The fact is that my body is still headed towards the grave
So what if I got brains for blood, and blood for brains?
The fact is that my body is still headed towards the grave
