Chameleons
Richard Clapton
All my life, I've been had
Seems like the best laid plans turn bad
People turn so cold
You turn around and lose control
Should've known better than that
At the drop of a hat
Got left out in the cold
If you believe this is the party that will never end
How will you find yourself with all of your chameleon friends
Party boys, party girls
Live in a superficial world
Changing lovers so fast
Go breaking hearts like breaking glass
I don't know what to believe
It's a smack in the teeth
Everybody has gone
And when it gets to the end
Will I find all my friends
In this crowd of chameleons?
If you believe this is the party that will never end,
How will you find yourself with all of your chameleon friends
