Chattanooga Bends
Rumbleseat
I remember when innocence was the same word as sin
And I can recall bein' wrong time and time again
Then it was a grain of salt and nothin' to contend
Just another Chattanooga bend
The creek was always runnin' in my back yard
Just a few fish, some ol' beer cans, and remnants of some cars
That was all I needed to keep a young pure heart
Away from the Chattanooga bends
Hasn't been long since I've been home
And see that old creek overgrown and dry as a bone
I couldn't help but to shed a tear and see where I've come from
A kid on the Chattanooga bends
Just a kid on the Chattanooga bends
