Cursing Concrete
Rumbleseat
I broke in sight but made out alright
I jumped on my thought
I went off but i felt on
I cursed concrete
Felt fire in me
I tired my tongue
To lift my burden. It eats at me
Where's shame?
Shouting from a lot where the kids can't play
And I'll walk back again
Thinking of the ways that it could've been
And I hope that I make a mark
And stand strong even when I'm gone
Before I'm done
Before I lay down
I'll go off
But I'll be on
I cursed the streets
That run under my feet
I tired my tongue
To lift my burden. It eats at me
Where's shame?
Shouting from a lot where the kids can't play
And I'll walk back again
Thinking of the ways that it could've been
And I hope that I make a mark
And stand strong even when I'm gone
