continuing the wreck
1800s Sea Monster
jewels from the pavement
rises from the road within you
in the wreck
the breeze blows
and myriad hues shoot out the neck
angels, wings, and flight
wait for you in the golden light
winding down the mountainside tonight
creeping through the trees
a beast has come
to rape you upon
my knees
I hope they can pull the metal from your spine
drill little holes to fill up with irons
you know I sleep to kiss you again
you know I sleep
on my knees
