Darkness
Luke Temple
The darkness took my shadow
It came into my room
Like a thief in charcoal velvet
Entombed
My eyes, they darted swiftly
Searching for the light
The moon was even missing
That night
And I listened, on Sunday
The preacher warned us of its burning touch
It's hollow, and growing
My skin is white, and shrinking
The darkness is an insect
Worming through its host
A compost pile of wishes
And bones
I found myself as nothing, (oh)
Wipe a window
In nothing, there is nothing
I mean
