I'm Sorry I Do
Andrew Preston
Insanity drives the methods, for sure
But, oh, how he feels hate in him
Sadistic fun it's so obscure
So cruel, so vile, so rejected, so thin
But what is anger? Is it life?
Is it love? Or what could it hold?
He can manipulate no one but himself
So much stupidity, he can't console
Oh, she gloats
Her ego, it soars
Maybe she meant better, but she got worse
He wrote it to her, he wants her to know
So many tears, so much time
Wasted on her, reap what you sow
It's such a futile fight
He shouldn't bother, he assumed
Never enlightened
Forever contrite
So simple is love
So simply it's lost
Or was it never there
Never at all
So sorry I love you, I'm sorry I tried
I'm sorry I cried, I'm sorry I waited
I'm sorry I wasted so much time
I'm sorry for me, I'm sorry for you
I'm sorry I care
I'm sorry I do
