Let's Just Say I Got Lucky
The Brave Optimistic
Here he comes, lack of fashion scene
He's kind of crazy and he's sometimes mean
Some call it a social form of cancer (that's me)
I have no idea what's going on
The last two years I took friends to prom
I'm the kind of guy who always poisons dances
And I'll never see a prettier face than the one that you make blowing hair from your eyes
And I'll never hear a heart with such beats, full of passion and a love for life
And I'll never taste a kiss oh so sweet it could melt all the flesh off of any man's bones
It's the first time I've felt a touch to compete with the safety of being alone
I'm such a wreck, no one talks to me
And rightly so, I'm a sight to see
But at the same time, I'm not to be seen with (uh-huh)
She takes her strides oh so perfectly
I watch so close, don't want to miss a beat
And the pleasure of her company belongs distinctly to me
Don't you hurt my heart
Don't you even try
Don't you say a thing
Words just lead to lies
