Red Fangs
Tin Armor
There are so many things that I'd rather talk about being than be.
What badges I might earn if courage was not red but green.
But what's the point of dealing with these things if there's no one to see
And pat my head and say I'm great for all the changes I have made.
Leave the boy if it's me you want.
There's little sense in taking one so young
And I'm sure that I'm old enough to know.
I've often thought that you all hate me.
Though I know it is not true
It's very hard to shake the feeling and it shows.
I want to know just who I'm kidding when I act the way I do
And if it's true that all dogs bite dogs no matter whom.
Leave the boy if it's me you want.
There's little sense in taking one so young
And I'm sure that I'm old enough to know.
Red fangs, red fangs in every smile every face
Red stains on my mane.
