So Delirious
Andrew Preston
My mind has been failing
My heart has been wailing
Moaning a song
That to you, I've been hailing
Without her I can't even move
Just stuck in a body with spiritless gloom
A tearful example of mental instability
A locked away prisoner of my own sensibility
Into blackness and blind eyes of regret
A promise that her I won't forget
I promise her that because I can't stop
Thinking of her as my heart and soul drop
A vision of crazed manic illusion
Because images swim through a sea of confusion
Because you're driving me mad and insanity leers
At me clear in the face and evoking my fears
I can ramble and think but nothing comes clearly
And my mind I think is lost
Lost in an empty head of nothing
Embodied by mindless shock
And only this problem could be solved by you, but I'm sure that won't occur
Because delirium is wavering over my head and my mind is but a blur
